Refund Policy
Pixel Pane is free for 14 days before you pay anything. If you buy a license and it isn't right for you, email within 14 days of purchase and you get your money back. No questions, no conditions, no form to fill in.
The 14-day guarantee
Within 14 days of purchase, you can have a full refund for any reason at all. You do not have to explain yourself, and you do not have to prove anything about your Mac or your usage.
This applies to every license, everywhere, regardless of what you agreed to at checkout. It sits on top of any rights you already have under your local consumer law — it never replaces them.
Please use the trial first
Pixel Pane runs free for 14 days with nothing withheld, so the surest way to avoid needing a refund is to install it before you buy. That matters more here than for most software, because Pixel Pane is built around a piece of hardware not every Mac has.
It needs a Mac with a notch — a MacBook Pro 14″ or 16″ from 2021 or later, or a MacBook Air with M2 or later — and an Apple Silicon chip for the on-device models. On a Mac mini, Mac Studio, iMac, an external display, or an Intel Mac, you will not get the product as designed. The full list is on the requirements section of the home page. If you are unsure whether your Mac qualifies, ask before you buy — that is always faster than a refund.
If you're in the EU or the UK
You have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days. For digital content delivered immediately, that right can normally be waived at checkout by consenting to immediate delivery.
We honour the full 14 days regardless of what the checkout recorded. Nothing in this policy asks you to give up a right the law gives you, and if your local consumer law entitles you to more than what is written here, that law wins.
How to request one
Email snehithn5@gmail.com from the address you bought with, or include your license key or Polar order number. One line is enough — "I'd like a refund" does it.
Requests are acknowledged within two business days. Purchases are handled by Polar, the merchant of record for Pixel Pane, so Polar issues the actual refund back to your original payment method. How long it then takes to appear is up to your bank or card issuer — usually a few business days, occasionally up to ten.
What happens to your license
When a refund is issued, the license key stops validating and the app returns to its unlicensed state. Nothing is deleted from your Mac: your chat history, downloaded models, folder grants, and settings all stay where they are, and any provider keys you added remain yours in the Keychain until you remove them.
You're welcome to buy again later, and a refund now doesn't disqualify you from anything.
After 14 days
The guarantee is a fixed window, but it isn't the whole story. If something is genuinely broken, if an update breaks a machine that used to work, or if you were charged twice or by mistake, write in anyway. Those get sorted out on their merits, whatever the calendar says.
